The Portrait electrical cutter is a smaller, lighter version of the Cameo electronic cutting tool. Like the Cameo, the Portrait connects to your computer, allowing you the freedom to cut all your fonts, download thousands of designs from the Silhouette Online Store, or design shapes of your own with the included software. The Silhouette Portrait also has an optical scanner that reads registration marks printed with your design and cuts precisely around the image.

The Portrait can handle 9″ media but has an 8″ cutting area. This is versatile machine, can be used in many different projects in your shop or home. You can cut and make various products. What materials can the Silhouette cut? The Silhouette is designed to cut a variety of materials including vinyl, paper, specialty patterned papers, cardstock, vellum, iron-on heat transfer material, fabric and sticker paper among other materials.
